The Riverhouse has been Big Sky's gathering place since 2013 — a riverfront barbecue restaurant and event venue sitting directly on the banks of the Gallatin River with the Spanish Peaks rising in the background. Ranked #1 of 48 restaurants in Big Sky on TripAdvisor, The Riverhouse specializes in authentic Texas Hill Country barbecue — meats dry rubbed with a proprietary house blend and slow smoked 12–18 hours over mesquite wood — served alongside scratch-made sides in a setting that includes live music, outdoor swings at the bar, horseshoes, volleyball, and a back porch view that stops people mid-sentence. With capacity for up to 300 guests and an intimate Dance Hall for private events — no two shifts here are the same.
The founders built The Riverhouse with one simple vision — a place where everybody is welcome, whether you're fresh off the river or just left work.
