THE ROLE
The Riverhouse kitchen runs hot, fast, and proud. We're looking for a Line Cook who knows their way around a busy kitchen, takes genuine pride in the food they put out, and thrives when the tickets are stacking and the smoke is rolling. This isn't a corporate chain kitchen — it's an authentic Texas Hill Country BBQ operation ranked #1 in Big Sky, and the team behind the line is the reason why.
You'll be working with real barbecue — brisket smoked 12–18 hours over mesquite wood, house-made rubs, scratch sides — in a kitchen that values craft, consistency, and a good attitude in equal measure.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare and execute menu items to Riverhouse standards during high-volume dinner service
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols at all times
- Work seamlessly with the kitchen team during busy seasonal rushes
- Keep your station clean, organized, and prepped before, during, and after service
- Contribute to a kitchen culture built on respect, hustle, and genuine pride in the product
- Assist with prep work, inventory, and kitchen organization as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 1 year of line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure during fast-paced service
- A genuine passion for food quality and consistency
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mentality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- BBQ or scratch kitchen experience a plus — not required
