THE ROLE
The Riverhouse is Big Sky's #1 rated restaurant — and the servers who work here are a big reason why. We're looking for an energetic, personable Server who loves people, moves fast, and genuinely enjoys being part of a team that makes every guest feel like they found their new favorite place.
Our guests range from Big Sky locals grabbing dinner after a powder day to families celebrating milestones to visitors who drove hours specifically because they heard the BBQ was worth it. Your job is to make every single one of them feel like the most important table in the room.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deliver warm, attentive, knowledgeable service to every guest at every table
- Know the menu inside and out — be able to describe every cut, every side, every sauce with genuine enthusiasm
- Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment during peak dinner service
- Communicate clearly and proactively with kitchen and support staff
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and occasional complaints with professionalism and grace
- Maintain table cleanliness and dining room presentation throughout service
- Support event service for weddings, private dining, and special occasions
- Accurately process payments and manage multiple tables simultaneously
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 1 year of serving experience in a full-service restaurant — high-volume experience preferred
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure without losing your cool or your smile
- Genuine hospitality instincts — you love making people's day, not just taking their order
- Flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday availability during peak season
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain before starting
- Event service experience a plus
